We're not a member of the local Better Business Bureau.

We're fully qualified to be a BBB member. We've been in business for 14 years, we've had no complaints against us, and we operate in an ethical manner. They even maintain a report on us (actually on Addy & Associates, Inc, our umbrella corporation).

We were actually approved and accepted into the BBB. But then we found out something strange. We weren't allowed to tell you that we're a BBB member. At least not here on the website. BBB allows members to use the BBB logo on any printed materials, but NOT a website.

The cost to just to be a BBB member is over $500 a year. To be one of their "web" member is, as I recall, a few hundred more dollars.

The BBB maintains reports and complaints on all businesses, not just members. So, what's the benefit of being a member? You get treated exactly the same as non-members. They don't even have a category for Wedding Photographers. I think the BBB provides a great service, but $7-800 a year just to put an image on my website is just too much.
